Anthea Simmons (Author) Anthea Simmons was born in St Albans and studied at St Hugh's College, Oxford. Following a high-flying career in the city, she now lives in Devon where, as well as writing poetry and children's stories, she teaches English as a foreign language to adults from all over the world. Georgie Birkett (Illustrator) Georgie Birkett completed her degree in Graphic Design and Illustration at the University of Brighton in 1996. She has since illustrated many books, in various styles, for the educational and young fiction markets, as well as picture books and pre-school novelty books. In 2008 she won the Best Baby Book 2008 in the Booktrust Early Years Awards for Is This My Nose? (Red Fox). Georgie Birkett was born in Kent. She is the author and illustrator of many picture books, and has been published all over the world. She now lives in Lewes, East Sussex.
